What you're seeing
Sound familiar?
- A drip that a new washer or cartridge didn't cure
- Corrosion or pitting at the base, or a handle that's loose on its stem
- Low flow that a clean aerator didn't fix
- A remodel or a new sink that needs a faucet to match
What's actually going on
Faucets wear from the inside out. Cartridges and seats erode on hard water, the finish pits, and on older models the parts cost more than the fixture is worth. Replacement is usually the right call once a faucet is past ten years or two repairs — and it's the moment to replace the supply lines and shutoff valves underneath, which are the same age and the same water.
The visit
What we do — and it's usually one trip
We come out, look at the actual problem, and give you a flat-rate price on the spot. If you approve, we fix it right then — the truck carries the parts this job needs.
Confirm the new faucet fits your sink's hole pattern and deck before anything comes apart
Remove the old faucet, clean the deck, and set the new one with a proper seal
Connect new braided supply lines, and replace the shutoff valves if they're worn or won't turn
Run hot and cold, check the aerator flow and every connection, and wipe down the sink
When it's more than a small repair
If the sink deck is cracked, the drain assembly is shot, or the shutoffs are soldered to corroded pipe, we'll tell you before we start and price it separately in writing. We won't let a faucet swap turn into a surprise.
If something's not right after we leave, we come back and make it right — no charge, no argument. That's the Loon Promise.
Good to know
Faucet replacement questions, answered straight
Can you install a faucet I bought at the hardware store?
Yes, and most people do. Just leave it in the box with the parts bag — we'll check it fits your sink before we pull the old one. If it won't work, you'll know before anything is disconnected.
Kitchen or bathroom — is one harder?
Kitchen faucets take a little longer: sprayer hoses, a deeper sink, and often a disposal in the way. Both are still a single-visit job with a flat price you approve first.
Do you take the old faucet away?
Yes. The old fixture, packaging, and any mess leave with us. That's part of the Loon Promise — a clean home when we leave.
