Plumber in Edina, MN

Same-day service · Free estimates · Upfront flat-rate pricing

Edina runs a century of plumbing, sometimes on a single block — 1920s Tudors, mid-century ramblers, and brand-new rebuilds. We work on all of it with the same habits: a flat price you approve first, and a home left cleaner than we found it.

Local knowledge

We're local to Edina — actually local

Not a national franchise, not a call center routing you to whoever's available. We're a family plumbing company, and Edina is a city we work all the time — the historic blocks of the Country Club District and Morningside, the ramblers around Southdale and Cahill, the newer rebuilds from Braemar to Centennial Lakes.

Edina rewards a plumber who pays attention: the water changes from one neighborhood to the next, the pipe eras change from one house to the next, and the finish level means sloppy work has nowhere to hide. That suits us fine.

What Edina throws at its plumbing

Hard well water — except where it isn't

Most of Edina drinks from the city's eighteen deep wells, and four municipal treatment plants handle the iron and manganese. What stays in is hardness — roughly 17 to 20 grains per gallon, hard enough that the city itself recommends softening it down. But here's the local wrinkle: Morningside gets Minneapolis water instead — surface water, lime-softened at the plant. Two homes a few blocks apart can need completely different water setups, which is exactly why we test at your tap instead of quoting from a map.

A century of pipe, often in the same house

The Country Club District and Morningside date to the 1920s — galvanized supply lines and cast-iron drains now a hundred years old, hiding behind plaster that deserves respect. The post-war boom filled the rest of the city with ramblers whose first-generation copper and original valves are reaching the end of their run. And Edina's remodel-and-rebuild culture means we regularly find three eras of plumbing spliced together in one basement. We'll tell you what you actually have before anyone talks about replacing it.

Old trees, old clay, and Minnesota winters

The mature elms and maples that make Edina's streets are thirsty — and the original clay sewer laterals under them have joints roots love to find. Recurring backups here are rarely bad luck; they're roots on a schedule. Add the freeze factor — supply lines running through century-old, lightly insulated exterior walls — and spring melt testing older foundation drainage, and Edina keeps all three of our drain, repair, and sump crews honest.

“Our water heater died on a Sunday and they had a new one in Monday morning. The price he quoted on the phone walkthrough was the price on the invoice.”

— Angela M.

“Finally a plumber who didn't try to sell us a whole system. He fixed the valve, showed us what to watch for, and left the utility room cleaner than he found it.”

— Kevin T.

Good to know

Edina questions, answered straight

Do you offer same-day service in Edina?

Yes — same-day service is the standard in Edina, not the exception. Call and we'll give you an honest arrival window, not a four-hour guess that becomes eight.

Are you licensed to work in Edina?

Yes. We hold Minnesota Master Plumber license PM652496, we're insured, and when a job needs a permit we pull it through the City of Edina and meet the inspector ourselves. Permit costs are part of the flat-rate price you approve up front.

I'm in Morningside — is my water different from the rest of Edina?

It genuinely is. Morningside is served by Minneapolis water — surface water that's lime-softened at the plant — while the rest of Edina runs on well water at roughly 17 to 20 grains per gallon. So a softener that's essential in most of Edina may be unnecessary a few blocks away in Morningside. We test at your tap and tell you which side of that line you're on.

My Country Club home still has some original plumbing. Is that a problem?

Not automatically — some of that 1920s work has outlived its plumbers twice over. But galvanized supply pipe and cast-iron drains from that era are past their design life, and they fail in predictable ways: fading pressure, rusty water, slow drains, mystery stains. We'd rather show you what you actually have and plan around it than push a whole-house repipe you may not need yet.

Why does my sewer line keep backing up?

In older Edina neighborhoods it's usually tree roots in the original clay sewer lateral — the mature elms and maples that make these streets beautiful are also thirsty. A camera inspection shows exactly what's happening in the line, you see the footage too, and then you can choose between scheduled clearing and a permanent fix with real numbers.

Do you charge extra to come to Edina?

No. No travel surcharge, no service-call games — Edina is home turf for us. You get a free estimate and a flat-rate price before any work starts, same as every city we serve.
